Fun with the Davies Boys

A few weeks ago Roderick and I got to watch the cutest little boys. We only had an hour or two, but we got a lot accomplished. Both of the boys are just like Roderick, "born with balls in their hands." It was so much fun watching Roderick and Caleb playing in "our backyard." Micah and I cheered their game on from our porch and enjoyed some fun play inside.

Caleb has quite an arm and can hit the ball really well...especially for a 3 almost 4 year old! I'm pretty sure he already throws better than I do!!

Micah concentrating hard on getting the tower put together...

Yeah, he got some of it together...

He was being a "stinker", but I finally got a GREAT smile!

We also played basketball in the hallway!
He jumps....
He shoots....
AND he scores....

The crowd goes wild...at least Micah, Roderick and I!

Andy and Davina we had so much fun with your boys! Thanks for giving us the opportunity to enjoy them. Thank you as well for taking the time to love them and train them in God's ways. You have the sweetest boys!

Special Someone's Birthday Today

I just wanted to write a short blog in honor of my wonderful husband. Today is his birthday! I am so thankful for the 25 years the Lord has given him. His love for the Lord truly amazes and encourages me. His selfless love for me over the past year of marriage completely astonishes me. He is SO good to me. I've been so thankful to enjoy the last 13 months with him and can't wait to spend many more, Lord willing. I feel so blessed to be secure in the love of my husband!
Happy Birthday, Baby!!

4.) Visited Colonial Baptist Church of Williamsburg

3.) Picked out a beautiful bouquet of flowers together. 24 roses- 12 yellow and 12 red to represent a year of love and friendship!

2.) Devoured lots of wonderful food at the Melting Pot! I LOVED everything, but the chocolate fondue was definitely the best!!!

1.) Spent a whole weekend together!!!

Weekend Project

Melody's kindergarten class started out the year with a unit called God Made Me Special. One part of the unit is each student gets to have a turn bring in something special to them. Kind of like show-n-tell. However, whatever they bring must fit in "the bag." This weekend I talked Melody into letting me paint "the bag." It was SO much fun!!! Here's the fun results:
