Fall in VA

Happy Thanksgiving!
This being the last day before "it's okay to put up the Christmas stuff," I figured I'd post the pictures I've taken of our gorgeous VA fall. Most of the pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago, so the colors are nowhere near as vibrant now. Hope you enjoy a little taste of VA fall around town and our apartment.
A pretty sight right next to our church/seminary.

Views from our porch.

Fall in our apartment

Our thankful pumpkin, a new tradition we started this year. It is now full of strips of paper we filled out during the week leading to Thanksgiving. Today we hope to read all of them together.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful time with friends and family thanking the Lord for all His wonderful gifts!

  1. Happy thanksgiving to you as well!! Those pictures are beautiful!! Hope you enjoyed this wonderful day. We sure enjoyed being with our family here today...John, Bethany, James, Laura, Mom, Dad, Grandpa, Grandma, and Karen. We are missing Karis and Dan and the girls of course, but we are thankful they are serving the Lord in Africa! We really do have so much to be thankful for!

  2. Love your thankful pumpkin idea- We might even steal the idea for our home. This thankgiving was a hard one for that kind of thing because of sickness.: ( Giving thanks to God for all His blessing is the most important thing about Thanksgiving. We really missed it. If we had planned ahead with a thankful pumpkin, it would have helped. Thanks for the neat idea!

    Love, MOM
